Telehealth Consent

Last updated: October 31, 2026

PLUMP VIP provides its weight-loss program through telehealth — care delivered using electronic communications instead of in-person visits. This page explains what telehealth involves so you can decide whether it is right for you. Your provider will also review this with you as part of your evaluation, and treatment begins only with your consent.

1. What Telehealth Is

Your evaluation and follow-up may take place by phone, video, secure messaging, and online questionnaires. A licensed provider reviews the information you provide, may ask follow-up questions, and decides whether treatment is appropriate. In some cases the provider may determine that an in-person evaluation or additional information is needed before any treatment can be offered.

2. Benefits and Limits

  • Benefits: care from home, no travel, and access to a structured program with provider oversight.
  • Limits: the provider cannot perform a hands-on physical examination. Some findings that would be visible in person may not be detectable remotely, and your provider relies on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. If telehealth is not sufficient for a safe decision, treatment will not be provided remotely.

3. Risks

  • Technical problems (connection or equipment failures) can delay an evaluation.
  • Electronic communication carries a small risk of unauthorized access despite the safeguards we and our service providers use.
  • As with any medical treatment, the medications themselves carry risks and possible side effects, which your provider will explain and which are summarized on our benefits and considerations page.

4. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide complete and accurate health information, and update it when it changes.
  • Be located in Florida during your telehealth evaluation and treatment.
  • Follow your provider's instructions, including dosing and follow-up, and tell your provider about other medications you take and any side effects you notice.
  • Have a private setting and a working phone or internet connection for your appointments.

5. Privacy

Information exchanged during telehealth care is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Telehealth sessions are not recorded by PLUMP VIP without your knowledge.

6. Emergencies

Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you experience a medical emergency or severe side effects, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Email and website messages are not monitored continuously.

7. Payment

PLUMP VIP is a self-pay program and does not bill insurance. Payment is requested only after your assessment has been reviewed and your treatment approved, as described in our Terms & Conditions.

8. Your Right to Withdraw

You may stop using telehealth services at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect care already provided, and charges for medication already prepared or shipped may still apply as described in the Terms.

9. Consent

By requesting an assessment and participating in the program, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Telehealth Consent, that you have had the opportunity to ask questions, and that you consent to receive care through telehealth from PLUMP VIP's licensed providers.
